Weekly Reminder – 4 January 2022
Welcome to year 2022 and hopefully we will all have a better year ahead than the last.
1. 1-5 Year Interclub –
The draw and conditions of play have been distributed and the event takes place this coming weekend with section play on Saturday 8 January at Browns Bay and Sunnybrae. Finals on Sunday at Browns Bay.
2. BNH NZ Masters –
The draws are currently being finalised and the greens for section play will be finalised in the coming days. Once that is complete they will be posted on the website.
We do still have a bye in the 75+ Women’s fours and the 75+ Women’s pairs. If you can find a team to make the age group then please email [email protected] by the end of this week.
If there was a gentleman who would like to play in the 75+ mixed pairs there is a single vacancy available. If you are interested then contact the above email as well.
3. RSP Grants –
Clubs are reminded that a Government Transition Fund payment is available on application as a follow on from the RSP (Resurgence Support Payment). It is accessed through the same channel as the RSP and it uses the date of 3 October for application. This looks like it will be the last grant of this type, for this past lockdown period, so clubs should apply quickly if they have not already done so. 4. Entries open for forthcoming events –
A reminder for clubs and persons entering BNH competitions to check the entry conditions for the event on the entry platform, on the website, as entries are being made.
Women’s Interclub 7’s –
Closing date this Friday. Entries close on Friday 7 January 2022 for playing dates 22/23 January 2022. Entry fee $100 per side.
Men’s Interclub 7’s –
Entries close on Friday 28 January 2022 for playing dates 12/13 February & 12 March 2022. Entry fee $100 per side.
Women’s Centre Triples –
Entries close on Friday 4 February 2022 for playing dates 19/20 February 2022. Entry fee $75 per team.
Men’s Centre Singles –
Entries close on Friday 4 February 2022 for playing dates 19/20 February 2022. Entry fee $25 per
player .
5. BNH Umpires Association Tournament –
The next Umpires’ Association hosted tournament will be on Friday 14 January, 2022, at Birkenhead Bowling Club sponsored by Emmie Swart Ltd. It is an open any combination triples day and commences at 9.30am. These are popular tournaments and entries should be made early by email to Garry Moverley –[email protected]
