Remembering Rosalie Bancroft

Rosalie Bancroft, one of North Harbour’s leading women’s players in the 1990s and early 2000s, died on March 2, aged 87.
Rosie won many centre titles, being awarded her gold star in the 1998-99 season, gaining a further three titles, the last of which was in the 2009-10 season.

Most of Rosie’s bowling was with the Browns Bay club, but she also had stints at Mairangi Bay, Helensville and Takapuna. In just two seasons at the latter club in 2004 and 2005 she won five of its women’s championships.
