ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting of Bowls North Harbour Inc. will be held on Sunday 23rd June 2024 commencing at 11.00 am at Hobsonville Bowling Club, 1 Memorial Park Lane, Hobsonville, Auckland.
Each club is entitled to be represented by one delegate at the meeting and to vote on behalf of the club they represent. Other members of clubs are entitled to attend as observers.
Notices of Motion
As per the Bowls North Harbour constitution, rule 23.5, a notice of motion proposed by the Centre Board or by a club must be received 40 days prior to the date of the annual general meeting, unless otherwise agreed by the Centre Board. Any notice of motion from a club must be signed by the Club president or the Club secretary.
The Centre Board has no notices of motion to be considered and does propose a change to the membership fee from $25 to $26 per full playing member for this upcoming season.
Centre Board
The Centre Board consists of the President, Vice-President and six other persons. The President and Vice-President are elected annually from nominations made by clubs, and the remaining Centre Board members are elected for two-year terms from applications received.
This year four of the six other person positions become vacant and require election to fill the positions. The Board has recommended that in the election process this year the election should be for four positions (which will be for a two-year term).
Nominations for President, and Vice-President, and applications for the other positions on the Centre Board must be received by the Centre Manager no later than 14th May 2024, 40 days prior to the date of the annual general meeting.
Closing Date
The closing date for notices of motion, nominations for President, & Vice-President, and applications for positions on the Centre Board will close on Tuesday, 14 May 2024. The agenda will be forwarded to all clubs after that date.
