We wish to advise that due to insufficient entries, the 2018 Heartland Bank Harbour 20,000 has been cancelled. 

We extended the close off date and contacted a number of bowlers directly, however we cannot deliver a meaningful tournament and bowling experience, as well as do justice to our sponsor ($10,000) with current entry levels.

Given the feedback we have had from previous events and confirmation that the current date change was not an issue, we are at a loss to understand why entries are so poor.

Our focus to promote a prestigious North Harbour bowls tournament has not changed, but clearly we need to revisit the timing, format, duration and entry cost, going forward.

Our sponsor, Heartland Bank, has been awesome to deal with over the 3 years we have hosted the event, but we cannot rely on the current sponsorship being rolled over to a future event, given we are cancelling this one and will be required to refund the sponsorship.

Very, very disappointing, but as a co-ordinating group, we are extremely positive about an event in the future in North Harbour that we know you will be keen to play in.
