Elaine McClintock & Bart Robertson Reign Supreme in Finals of COC Singles

In the Women’s final between Elaine McClintock (Orewa) and Wendy Jensen (Takapuna), it was an outstanding display of draw bowls from Elaine which was the winning of the game.  Wendy never gave in and on some ends was holding shots that were close to the jack, however Elaine kept drawing one closer.  The game was played in great spirit under the Covered Ryman Healthcare Green.

The Men’s final was contrastingly different with Bart Robertson (Helensville) and Brian Wilson (Browns Bay) going blow for blow in the early stages.  The score was very close all of the way until the last few ends where Bart’s experience showed through.  At 18-16 up Bart played 3 magnificent bowls to take out the final 21-16.

Both Elaine and Bart now go to Hastings on 1st – 3rd July representing their respective clubs in the National COC Singles Finals and everyone at Bowls North Harbour wish you both the best of luck.
