Cancellation Notice – BNH NZ Masters 2023

The health, welfare and safety of the participants, organisers and volunteers was paramount in the decision by the Board of Bowls North Harbour to cancel the 2023 BNH NZ Masters, scheduled for Monday 13th February through to Friday 17th February. While this is a cancellation, there will be an attempt to run the event later in 2023, however refunds will be issued.

The Board took notice of the advice issued by Auckland Emergency Management, the fact that Auckland is in a continuing state of emergency and that the forecast is that the most severe weather event ever to hit New Zealand, Cyclone Gabrielle, is likely to strike over the next few days. 

To those travelling from the far corners of New Zealand we hope that this gives you time to change your travel plans.

For those seeking a refund (and we thank those who may choose to donate the entry fee to assist in offsetting the sunken costs involved) there will be a process which will be covered in an email over the next week.  A form will be sent requesting the name of the entity that made the payment, the date and amount, the event(s) entered and the bank account details for the refund.

We apologise for the inconvenience that this decision may have caused and assure you that health, safety and welfare of our bowlers was top of mind when the board of Bowls North Harbour made this unanimous decision.
