National CoC Pairs results – Lindsay Knight

North Harbour’s representatives were again out of luck when the national champion of champions events continued at the weekend with the pairs in Dunedin.

 In the men’s competition John Janssen and Jerry Belcher, from Takapuna, failed to make post-section with just one win from three qualifying games, and Sheryl Wellington and Theresa Rogers, from Mairangi Bay, also missed with two wins from four qualifying games.

 The Auckland centre provided both winners. Leif Selby, formerly a top player in Australia, and James Williams won the men’s title and a former North Harbour player, Paris Baker, with Olivia Bloomfield, won the women’s.
