1-5 Womens Campi Tournament

Recently the 2 day 1-5 Womens Campi Cup tournament was played at Remuera. 

27 teams participated from Bowls North Harbour, Auckland and Counties.

A composite team from Eastern with Colleen Rice and Gaye Horne came a very credible 3rd (sorry no picture).

A very junior playing team (photo depicted) consisting of Michelle Macdonald, Irene Ball and Hanaan Shawan with only a 1 year player skipping and Irene and Hanaan only playing for  6 months, triumphed to finish 6th in the prizegiving – a real achievement which showed the benefit of the winter coaching sessions by Howard Sandler at Hobsonville. 

Well done to them , also to the other teams who put in good performances.
